Position: Library Instructor
Location: Sand Point School
Qualifications: 18 years of age minimum
High School diploma or equivalent
Acceptable employment references
Promptness and reliability
Proven ability to work well with children
Interested in child growth and development
Willingness to take direction and also work independently
Report to: Sand Point Principal

Job Responsibilities
The Library Instructor will assist in providing quality education. Duties may include, but may not be limited
to: Limited supervision and instruction under the direction of a certificated teacher, organizing daily lessons,
correcting papers, and participating in screening and student assessment. The Library Instructor must work
successfully with children, and be capable of maintaining control of students in order to help promote an
effective educational environment. The Library Instructor will be responsible for ordering and maintaining
library supplies, equipment and support systems. The Library Instructor must preserve confidentiality, as
appropriate. Other duties may be assigned.
Terms of Employment:
1. Range V: $17.83 to $20.49 per hour – DOE.
2. Five (5) days per week: Beginning in late August through May. Approximately 190 work days.
Approximately 35 hours per week.
3. Benefits include: state retirement plan (PERS), personal and sick leave, health insurance.
