A defensive struggle, which contrasted greatly from last nights scorefest between Sand Point and King Cove. The Lady Eagles continue to shine this basketball season and finish 2nd behind the King Cove Rookies at the Ninilchik Invitational.

Ninilchik gets some redemption after a tough loss to Sand Point early in the Ninilchik Invitational. Sand Point battled injuries the whole game and couldn’t seem to close an 8 point gap for 3 of the games 4 quarters. Sand Point will take a break and nurse their injuries as they prepare for the continuation of the road trip on Monday.

Sand Point offers a decisive victory in the first game of the Ninilchik Invitational. Karl Smith leads with a game-high 40 points as Sand Point enters this weekends tournament with a splash. The Half-Breeds kept getting the game close throughout the second half, but Sand Point did an excellent job hanging onto the lead and finishing strong for the win.

Total domination by the King Cove Rookies against the Lumen Christi Archangels as King Cove goes to a 39 point lead by the end of 1st half. Lumen Christi kept it to within 2 points in the 4th quarter, but the Rookies were able to control the pace of the game and continue to hone their craft ahead of the State Tournament.
Final Score: Lumen Christi Archangels (37) vs King Cove Rookies (97) at the Wells Fargo Arena at the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
