Sand Point fought hard in the first half, keeping the game to within double digits at the half. Things changed quickly in the 3rd quarter as Tanana really got their game into gear and exploded to an over 20 point lead which they crew to nearly 30 points by the end of the game. Sand Point will go on to play at 11am tomorrow to keep fighting for a 4 or 6th place position.

Sand Point gets a big piece of redemption during a rematch against Nikolaevsk, having lost earlier in the season at the Su-Valley Crowley Classic. A full team effort, Sand Point excelled playing defense, scoring and pulling down rebounds. The Eagles move on in the winner’s bracket to play one of the top seeded squads – Tanana, at 11AM on March 14!

The Lady Eagles fought hard against a highly rated Tanalian Lady Lynx squad, but as the game wore on Port Alsworth continued to lengthen their lead guaranteeing their chance to play for second against the team who loses in tonight’s championship game. A big shout out to senior Brittany Gardner who wraps up her final season with the Lady Eagles and did an outstanding job leading this Sand Point team in a successful 2019 basketball season!
