New Stuyahok kept it close in the first half, but Sand Point was able to find their groove and advance to play Port Alsworth again in the final game of the ACC Region Tournament at 3:30 Today

KSDP plans on broadcasting all these games live, but due to conflicting schedules some may be joined mid-game.

What an amazing, fast pace and tight game all the way from beginning to end. Both squads gave it their all and left nothing on the court. Port Alsworth is able to hold onto a lead they created in the 4th quarter, burning just enough time to walk away with the win. Sand Point found themselves in foul trouble early in the game, which limited their ability to foul at the end of the game.

Sand Point kept it close in the 1st quarter, but the Newhalen Malamutes grew their lead to 20 points by the end of the 1st half. Sand Point never gave up, but time ran out before they could mount a tying come back. Newhalen goes on to play Pt. Alsworth in round 2 of the regional tournament, while Sand Point bumps down to the Consolation Bracket with a chance to fight their way to 2nd place. The ladies play again on Friday, March 8.

With a staggering lead of double their opponent at the end of the first half, the Rookies from King Cove come away with the win during the last home game for the Lady Eagles this season. The Lady Eagles didn’t take this lying down, firing back and making the Rookies fight to hold on to their lead.

Technical difficulties prevented us from fully broadcasting the game from King Cove, between the Eagles and the T-Jacks, and for that we apologize! However, the part of the second half that we did receive was a slaughter from the T-Jacks, with a dominating 66 point lead over the Eagles when it was all said and done.

In the latest game of the season, the King Cove T-Jacks Take the final home game for the Eagles.
Despite playing with a man advantage for the entire fourth quarter, the Eagles couldn’t quite crack the T-Jacks in their final game of the season on home turf. The T-Jacks kept a close but comfortable lead for the entire game, a good showing with the regional competition right around the corner.
Final Score: Sand Point Eagles (75) vs the King Cove T-Jacks (94) for the last home game in Sand Point, Alaska.
