Sand Point was firing on all cylinders in this early morning game against Ft. Yukon to wrap up the Crowley Classic with a 5th place finish and a decisive win. Coming off a rough day of loses yesterday in what was without a doubt the toughest bracket of the tournament. The Lady Eagles come back from their road trip and prepare for Regionals, which begins in the first week of March!

The boys earn their spot in the championship game tomorrow at the Crowley Classic by handily defeating the Ft. Yukon Eagles. King Cove continues an incredible run during the 2019 season and looks to put the Crowley Classic on their list of victories.

Nikolaevsk kept their lead throughout the game, though Sand Point kept bringing things in close. Towards the end of the fourth quarter the Warriors really pulled away as Sand Point struggled to engage their offense the way we’ve seen them do earlier in the season. More basketball tonight as the Eagles go up against Su-Valley at 8:00 pm!

Sand Point just couldn’t quite overcome the initial 6 point lead that the Warriors created early in the 1st quarter. Coming off of illness and a long road-trip, Sand Point never really got up to speed and play the game we’ve seen them play earlier in the season. Sand Point will get one more chance this evening against the Su-Valley Rams at 6:30pm.
