Another large salmon run is forecasted this upcoming salmon season for the Bristol Bay fishery. The forecast calls for a harvest of roughly 31 million sockeye with another 15 million escaping for a cumulative run of 46 million fish!

“Tustumena to sail the Southwest Route with two Aleutian chain trips per month. (but only one in June and September). The first chain trip is May 17. Old Harbor will receive one stop per month June to September. (6/6 OLD-KOD, 7-13 KOD-OLD, 8-15 OLD- KOD, 9-7 KOD-OLD). The last chain trip in September will leave a Homer-Kodiak service gap of one week since Kennicott is not available to back fill.”
