JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Temporary/Part–time Content Programmer
Reports to: General Manager
Work Hours: 5-15 hrs. Per week
Salary: $13/hr
Summary: Aleutian Peninsula Broadcasting, Inc. is seeking a dependable individual interested in broadcast, which is comfortable going On-Air and is comfortable working with Internet and software applications.
Duties:
– Recording Daily Fish Reports, Weather and Community Window
– Recording, airing and archiving local Government meetings and other special events
– Programming Modern Music Library
– Updating Website
– Assisting with Station Fundraisers
Requirements: Must be comfortable speaking on–air and working with technology including audio recorders, Web-based tools such as WordPress and other industry related software. Training will be provided. A willingness to learn and apply what is taught is the most necessary requirement along with a commitment to work well with others.

SAND POINT COMMERCIAL SALMON FISHERY ANNOUNCEMENT # 01
The Alaska Department of Fish and Game will be conducting a preseason fishery stakeholder’s meeting at the Aleutians East Borough building in Sand Point at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 27. We will teleconference with both King Cove at the Harbor House and False Pass. The purpose of this meeting is to provide all interested parties an opportunity to discuss the upcoming salmon season with ADF&G staff.
Topics covered will include:
2016 salmon outlook
2016 management strategy
2016 department test fisheries
Other topics as time permits
