Sand Point Generating (TDX) Requests Permission For Electric Rate Increase!
Notice of Utility Tariff Filing
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that Sand Point Generating, LLC (SPG) filed TA251-230, a revenue requirement study, based on a 2016 test year. With this filing, SPG requests an interim and refundable across-the-board rate increase of 15.74 percent, effective November 1, 2017, and a proposed permanent across-the-board rate increase of 39.35 percent.

PSA from Sand Point Generating and Power Outtage Notice!
Here is a notice from Sand Point Generating (TDX) regarding the random power outages being experienced.
Also, beginning at 4:00 pm and going till around 5:00 pm a temporary power outage will occur from the Post Office through the Upper Loop in order to attempt correcting the root issue
This is a public service announcement from Sand Point Generating. Sand Point Generating is experiencing random momentary power interruptions on the entire power system. These disturbances are random and do not cause a complete power outage of the grid. SPG is working extremely hard to find and correct the problem at hand. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the power plant office. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Fish and Wildlife Services Sand Point Community Meeting
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is having a meeting on July 5, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the QTT community center. The meeting key points will be about Federal subsistence caribou hunting permits, the upcoming goose hunt, and educational programs taking place here in Sand Point.
