The Rookies dominated their first matchup of the Sockeye Classic and make it known that they are the team to beat going through the tournament. The game was disrupted by a power outage during the 3rd quarter so there is a delay that occurs in the latter half of the online stream.

The King Cove T-Jacks coast through their first game of the tourney, using their height and experience to conquer the Bristol Bay Angels in classic T-Jack fashion. They earn their way to the next round where anticipation is high that they will be the main challengers of Dillingham for the 1st place trophy.

Sand Point plays the whole bench in this strong start to the 2019 Sockey Classic in Dillingham, Alaska. Controlling the flow and pace of the game from the very beginning, the Eagles showed themselves to be a force to contend with going ahead into this weekend tournament!

The Lady Eagles worked hard in this game that came down to the final seconds. Sand Point led for the majority of the match up but Aleknagik kept their cool and slowly clawed their way back into the game after the half-time break. Sand Point got into foul trouble late into the game which gave the Lakers the edge they needed to hold onto their lead as time ran out of regulation.

The game went into overtime with both Brittany Gardner and Paige Lundgren fouling out before regulation time ran out. Lindsey Holmberg and Lila Gundersen led their squad to a strong finish in what promises to be an exciting 2019 Basketball Season!
