A male in his 20’s has been arrested and charged with two felony drug charges.
The first charge is Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree when 7 grams of black tar Heroin were discovered in transport. Intent to deliver by volume is included in this charge. Retail this amount held a street value nearing $19,000.
The second charge is Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree when 4 and 1/2 Oxycodone pills were found in the individuals possession.

Two misdemeanor charges are being brought against a male in his early 20s over an automobile collision on April 17th 2014. The accident knocked out electricity for most of the Upper Loop and occurred going down the hill away from the school. Negligent Driving and a lack of Immediate Notice of an Accident are being charged. At time of publishing the suspect was still at large.

A male in his 50’s is being charged with 3rd degree assault after allegedly swinging an ax with the intent of striking another individual. Fortunately the ax missed, barely. This took place near Sand Point on April 8, 2014.

On April 11, 2014 at around 1:00 AM a domestic assault was reported to the Sand Point Police near the Cut ‘R Loose coffee shop. A male in his 30’s is being indicted with 2 assault charges, the first in the third degree and the other in the fourth degree. Preliminary investigations showed indicators of physical attack on the victim.

On April 11, 2014 at 6:10 pm a white Chevrolet pick-up with two young male passengers was observed driving recklessly down Red Cove Road towards the New Dump Road. Upon being pulled over the driver was found to be under a revoked license, exhibiting signs of intoxication and on probation. After resisting arrest the driver was finally detained, brought to the station and tested positive for alcohol over the limit to operate a motor vehicle. Five charges have been brought to the court: including reckless driving, DUI, minor consumption of alcohol, resisting arrest and driving with a revoked license.

With all your wonderful baked creations and donations, and your support in buying these items, you helped us earn $687 at the Close Up Easter Bake Sale. We also want to say an special thank you to Mary Ann Mobeck and John Gardner for providing the many Easter bread and doughnuts We hope you all had a fantastic Easter and school vacation.
Thank you also to the Shumagin Corporation for donating 25,000 airline miles to our cause. Your generosity will help pay for one of our participants fares to and from Anchorage.
