“The results from the latest PSP tests done on butter clams from the Sand Point airport beach on October 21, 2013 had an improved PSP toxin level of 44.9 micrograms and is BELOW the FDA limit of 80 micrograms.”

There will be a Halloween costume party Saturday, Oct. 26th at the Anchor Inn Lounge! Cash prizes will be offered to the best costumes. Judging will be at 11:30Pm. Come on down for some fun, food, drinks, and spooks!
Salary: $16.09/hr. (Up to approximately 20 hours per week, as needed.

Position summary: Under the direction of the mayor, the maintenance assistant is responsible and required to assist in the upkeep and maintenance of all municipally owned buildings, facilities and infrastructure within the community. This includes assisting in the repair and/or replacement of heating/cooling systems, plumbing pipes and fixtures, electrical components, walls, foundations and roofs, boardwalks, and other vital or cosmetic needs of city-owned facilities.
Required Knowledge: High School Diploma, Valid Alaska Driver’s License and good driving record, ability to work on ladders and scaffolding, good physical condition and the ability to lift 70 or more pounds, and exp in carpentry.
