Citizens of Sand Point
The DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL CONTROL is now operating under the Sand Point Police Department and your Animal Control Officer is Terenty Dushkin.
As your Animal Control Officer I ask that you have your dogs on a leash, runner, kennel or inside. It is under the city regulations that your animals are registered with tags and be up to date on their immunizations as possible. I also ask that your cats be indoors with current shots as well.
It is my goal to keep our community as well as the animals wellbeing under control without the fear of injury to people or your pets. Please keep them off the streets. Thank you for complying with the City of Sand Point’s A.C.O.

Summary:
Introduction: The Aleutians East Borough School District [AEBSD] is seeking proposals for vendor services to be rendered for grant writing to garner funds from new sources to advance the District in pursuit of its ongoing mission. AEBSD will be contracting on a grant-by-grant proposal basis.

The 6th Annual Earth Day Fair is approaching quick and we are hosting a contest for the best drawing and theme. All local artists are invited to participate! Submit your drawings and themes at the QTT office located on the first floor in the City Building.
2013 Theme Contest Guidelines:
* All entries must be on White letter sized paper (8.5″ x 11″)
* All entries must be submitted by 5 pm on Friday, February 15th, 2013.

Position: Special Education Coordinator
Location: District Wide
Minimum Qualifications:
Alaska Type A Certification, Special Services District-wide. – Minimum 5 years experience as a full-time Special Education Teacher – Willingness and ability to travel up to 10 school days of every month during the school year – Knowledge of Federal and State Special Education Compliance Laws – Excellent team-building skills – Good employment references.
Responsibilities:
a] Coordinate all Special Education Services District-wide.
b] Travel to District Schools to advance collaborative efforts of services being provided to Special Education needs.
c] Research and coordinate implementation of new materials and methodolgies for meeting student special needs.
d] Lead conferences via VTC with Principals, Special Education Teachers, Specialists, Classroom Teachers, and parents regarding student services.
e] Review compliance with Special Education Department laws and responsibilities.
f] Other administrative duties as assigned.
Employment Term: January 9th, 2013 to June 30th, 2013
Salary: $40,000 [Based on 130 day contract]
Benefits: Health Insurance as afforded all AEBSD certificated contracted employees
Leave: 15 days Annual Leave
Travel Provisions:Â Per diem for meals will be provided when Coordinator is traveling off local site. Lodging, where available, will be paid by the District. Lodging is also available at local AEBSD Schools.
