Here is an update on the Canvas Committee meeting to do the counting of absentee ballots for the Borough Assembly and School Board Elections:
The ballots have arrived!!
The Canvass Committee will meet Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. to canvass the October 5, 2021 Regular Election.
There are 5 Question Ballots to be considered and approximately 213 absentee ballots to be counted.
THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME TO ATTEND
Candidates on the ballot as the Mayor of King Cove answered questions regarding their view on key local issues.

There will be candidates forums for the King Cove Mayoral Race and the Aleutians East Borough School Board broadcast live on KSDP, 830 AM today.
The Aleutians East Borough School board forum will take place at 4pm, followed by the King Cove Mayoral Forum at 5pm.
Both candidates forums will be archived here on apradio.org.
The Sand Point AC will meet in the Sand Point City Council Chambers on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021, at 12:00pm.
The purpose of this meeting is to hold nominations and elections for all AC members, to address Board of Fisheries Agenda Change Requests, and other miscellaneous AC business as needed.
This meeting is open to the public. All voting age residents of the area who attend the meeting may make nominations and vote on committee membership.

2021-10-6 Draft Agenda Sand Point AC
Sand Point’s End of Summer Clean-up has been moved to Saturday September 25th, 2021. Meet at the starting point at the Sand Point City Gym at 11:45 am for bags and gloves. You can clean up wherever you like, and there will be a prize drawing and barbecue immediately following the clean=up at 3pm.

The city of Sand Point has issued two(2) new mandates regarding the Sand Point City Building:
All entrants to the City Building must wear maskes while inside the common areas (hallways, etc.).
The City of Sand Point City Offices are closed to the public until further notice.
KSDP’s Austin Roof held an interview with Lisa Fox telephonically for an update regarding the current state of the fishery.
