In an effort coordinated by local fisherman and Lee Lewis, the father of co-pilot Emily Lewis, the Sand Point Community recovered the bodies of the two crew members from the downed ACE Air Cargo flight. The plane crashed on take-off from Sand Point late last week. From member station KSDP Kells Hetherington reports.

Two bodies have been pulled from the submerged wreckage of the ACE Air Cargo Beachcraft 1900 that crashed on take-off from Sand Point late last Thursday night. From member station KSDP Kells Hetherington reports.

Late Thursday night, an Alaska Central Express (ACE) Air Cargo flight crashed on take-off from Sand Point. Search efforts have been underway since early Friday morning. Before the Coast Guard arrived, local fishing vessels from Sand Point, including the Courtney Noral, the Temptation and the Primus, searched the area. From member KSDP Kells Hetherington reports.
